Summary: Mixed Feelings 2010-04-08
Comment: LIKES: We received our bed quickly and assembly wasn't difficult. It is an attractive bed that looks more expensive than it is, so for that I am pleased. While the drawer space underneath is shallow, it is wide/roomy and able to hold his socks and pajamas.

DISLIKES: The bed is a bit higher from the floor than I thought - so my 15-month-old (who is average/tall height) needs assistance climbing in and out.

I was disappointed that the side rails aren't higher. I had planned to use my son's crib mattress (which is standard thickness), but once the mattress is in place in the toddler bed it's the same height as the rails. So either we are going to have to order an additional, thinner mattress, or add our own supplemental rails. I have thus had to post-pone transitioning my toddler over to this bed, because I don't feel comfortable with him sleeping there yet without higher protective rails.

OVERVIEW: In sum, I am pleased with the bed, but I wish the product description had indicated that a thinner crib mattress is necessary, in order for the bed rails to actually offer any protection from falling out. Essentially, the picture is deceiving, as that clearly isn't a standard-thickness crib mattress shown.

Summary: Our Son LOVES This Bed! 2009-10-20
Comment: We bought this for our 17 month old son who was starting to try and climb out of his crib. After coming into his room 2 times when he was screaming our names to find him hanging over the edge of his crib, we decided it was time to retire the crib.

We picked this bed due to the great price, nice color and good reviews. Our son loves to help me build and put stuff together, so this was no exception. We got the bed in and put it together one Saturday morning and he had a lot of fun helping and then was so excited to lay on it. He helped me push him crib out of his room and he hasn't looked back since.

This bed is very sturdy as my wife and I have both sat on the end to read to him or such and it supports out weight without any issue. We don't use the drawer underneath as it's really not very big, but it does hold some of his books if he wants to play with it.

We're very excited we picked this bed and even more excited that our toddler loves it!

Summary: Excellent Value and Classy Look 2009-05-16
Comment: This bed was shipped and arrived very fast. The product was fairly easy to assemble (with 3 people). The bed has a 50-pound weight limit which is based on the slats that support the mattress. They are made of 5/8-inch plywood. At the top, middle, and bottom, there are 3-inch wide slats, and every six inches in between are 1-inch wide slats (about 10).

These slats are not designed to accomodate an adult's butt, which is how I broke two within the first week. However, I used a 1x6 board in place of the broken slats under the bottom section of the bed (where there are no rails). It is now rock solid and I can sit with my baby son Joshua as he gets ready to go to sleep.

Joshua loves his "big boy bed" and after the first few nights, he got the new bedtime drill down. It's quite low to the ground so he can get in and out of it safely. All in all, I'm very happy with it, though I definitely recommend adding additional support at the lower end so you can sit on the bed with the kid.

Summary: great buy! 2009-05-11
Comment: We received this product in a timely fashion, my husband was able to assemble it with no problems, and our son loves it! For the price we paid this was a great purchase, and we are happy with the product. It seems pretty sturdy, and we're hoping it will last for our 2nd child to be able to use it. Thanks!

Summary: Great Bed!!!!! 2009-03-30
Comment: I ordered this bed for my grandson (2 3/4). I had originally ordered another bed but it was lost in transit. Turns out that the previous events were a godsend as this bed was delivered in 3 days with standard shipping and he loves it! He feels like such a big boy now since he can get in and out of the bed all by himself. A friend assembled the bed in less an hour for me and my grandson even helped. I wouldn't hesitate ordering from them again.
