Summary: The BEST swaddling blankets 2007-03-09
Comment: If you have a newborn that really needs to be swaddled well, these are the best. They are bigger than normal receiving blankets. They are really warm & snuggly, so if it's warm in your baby's room, just put them in a diaper only as my son got too warm in the blanket in the summer months with his jammies on.

Summary: Swaddling = sleep!! 2006-07-03
Comment: At the hospital we were taught to swaddle using receiving blankets. We were also taught the wonders of swaddling to calm a crying/fussy baby. Well...
Our little guy isn't at all fussy and swaddling with a receiving blanket only worked for about a week before it was too small. We tried the velcro swaddling wraps ("swaddle me" I think it's called), but he was too long and was kicking right out of those in no time! Because he wasn't fussy or crying we didn't think much more about swaddling - then we read that swaddling can increase sleep time! Sign me up for that!
At 6 weeks we started swaddling him again, this time using the ultimate swaddling blanket. It has the perfect amount of give and is the perfect size (with room to grow). Not too hot either. It is so soft without being bulky.
He's now 10 weeks old and we're still swaddling for bedtime. Excellent product.

Comment: I received this blanket as a gift and I'm ordering another, it's very warm without being too bulky and is great for swaddling. Great gift idea or if you are looking for one, definitely get this one.

Comment: This is the best swaddle blanket you will ever own! It's actually big enough to swaddle the baby without the blanket coming undone. I received one as a gift and loved it so much I went back and purchased another. I do not use ANY of the other receiving blankets I previously owned. The Ultimate Swaddle Blanket is WONDERFUL!!!
